MULTIPLEXERS, QUADS AND SWITCHERS |

ATV has 3 distinct types of
multiplexers; Simplex, Duplex and Full Duplex. What are the
differences?
|
|
 | Simplex Multiplexers only
allow you to watch one camera at a time (either by itself or
sequencing) in LIVE mode. It is still recording all the cameras
all the time. |
| Duplex Multiplexers
allow you to view any LIVE display you want, while still recording all
cameras for later playback. In other words, you can watch camera
15, or 2, or a Split Screen, or 4 at a time... the VCR is ALWAYS
recording all the cameras. |
| Full Duplex Multiplexers do
everything a Duplex Multiplexer does, with a very important
difference... this type can actually have two VCR's operating at the
same time. |
